Sunday was church, lunch, and playing. I went to the Salminen's after the children were a sleep for a visit. Britt, Kristina, Adele, and the cousins Claudia and Cornelia were visiting with their children. It was such a fabulous time.
Monday, the children played outside by themselves for an hour. I would watch them from the bathroom window. The first time I went back, Eva stopped riding and knew I was up there peering through the shutters. How? I'll never know - she's amazing. Later we had our trip to Wal-Mart. We got Eli his first underpants, Eva some headbands and some cool shoes,her favorite being a pair of mules just like my green ones. I took mom home and then we went to the Salminen's to so everyone could meet the l'il ones. The clan was all gathered in the downstairs TV room watching the World Cup - US vs Czech Rep. US got slaughtered so the children added some fun to the day. Later E + E, Britt and I went outside, joined by Claudia. After a little swinging. Eli wandered in to the alley that I had spent many summer days of my youth. (Britt purchased her parents home). He discovered a mud puddle and his day was made on the spot. He first started stomping, looking up for my approval. I begged him over to take off his clothes. Soon he was diaper-clad running through the puddle. Eva was not to miss an event and soon they were both naked running back and forth. Claudia and Britt (whose children are older now) had such a great time watching the show. I hosed them down and we returned to Grammy and Granddaddy's for a nice afternoon on the porch.
