Crissy Field

We drove to Crissy Field, thinking we'd have lunch at the Mud Hut, only to discover that there had been a fire and it was closed. Luckily, our plans were saved by the hot dog stand selling $5 organic, free-range hot dogs. They were pricey but delicious. By the time Amie and I were finishing up the children, lead by Eli were off to a bernal to climb, explore and roll down. This was a group of happy children running free amongst the tall grasses.

We joined Art, Penelope and Sarah at Crissy Field tidal pool. The afternoon weather turned a bit chilly but this did not stop the children from having fun splashing in the water, building castles and the annoying game of letting the shovels drift along the current and retrieving them only after one of the on-looking adults would shout down for them to not let them drift in to the Bay. After we had thoroughly drenched children, whining for dry clothes, we decided to pack-it in and head for some time in North Beach. I left the group to go and take photos of my friend Phyllis's little boy and her family. We gathered back at 127 for some Eric's Chinese food.
